Iron Man 3 (Hopefully) Spoiler Free review

The wait, she is over. Since May last year, every Marvel fan has been eagerly anticipating what comes next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where the Avengers may go now they have beaten back Loki and his horde of Chirauri and had their shawarma? Well look no further geeks of the world, because Iron Man 3 is here, and it's big, shiny and has a lethal weapon style double act of Stark and Rhodey!
Turn off the lights and hit the music! Take away nine year old boy...!

Shane Black has taken the pace built up with The Avengers, throttled back, dropped it down a gear and put his foot down. To say that Iron Man 3 throws a couple of curve balls at you would be a massive understatement, It's been nearly an hour since I got in and I am still reeling from it.
The "Man in the Can" loses his suits, loses his cars, his house, his scutter type robots (Genuinely nearly shed a tear when that happened) and in essence has to find out which he is, the hero in the suit or a hero in his own right!

Ben Kingsley plays a blinder, Don Cheadle and RDJ's on screen chemistry is brilliant, and very reminiscent of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover's relationship in the Lethal Weapon films. They are a fantastic double act and play off each other brilliantly.Guy Pearce as Killian is a hidden gem, a wicked, devious string puller and this is easily Gwyneth Paltrow's best film, plus she kicks some ass too!

The fact that S.H.I.E.L.D don't crop up at all, neither does Nick Fury, makes this an interesting and bold start to Phase 2 of the MCU. In fact if Iron Man 3 is anything to go by, there are going to be some massive surprises in store and some huge plot twists before those mighty Avenger's Assemble once more. Hopefully RDJ will pop up as Tony Stark, as the end line of the films credits promise us Stark's return. Either way, go see Iron Man 3, stay until the end of the credits, and look ahead towards the rest of Phase 2. Kevin Fiege sir, I salute you.
